About this experience

This is a car, not a tour. You get an air-conditioned car or minibus and a local driver for 10 hours, starting at your hotel. The driver waits at each stop and drops you wherever suits at the end. The listing suggests Mount Batur, Tegallalang, beaches, waterfalls and Ubud, but the route is yours.

The rule that matters: list the areas you want when you book. The listing says the driver may refuse areas that are not in your booking, so put every stop in the booking notes, even the beach club you are only half sure about. Go past ten hours and overtime is charged per hour.

What is covered: the car, the driver, parking, and hotel pickup and drop-off. Entrance tickets, meals and drinks are not on that list. The driver drives and helps; do not expect a guided talk at each temple. For that, book the private Ubud day with a driver-guide.

Tips before you book

• List every area in the booking. The driver can refuse places that are not on it.
• Plan one area per day. Bali is slow, and two far corners in ten hours is a lot of car.
• Use it on the day you change bases, with stops between the coast and Ubud.
• Keep small notes for entrance fees and parking at temples; tickets are not included.
• Ask for overtime terms up front if you plan a late dinner.
